We worked on the Pig Music to the Three Little Savage Pigs - looking at the videos, each girl practicing her own part.
We ended with some lines and spaces recognition for skittles.
We talked about bringing books next week

We read rhythms and drilled pitches

watch each of the videos beside and below these notes. We are working on becoming comfortable with the idea that
we read pitches (A,B,C,D,E,F and G) by how high or low they are on the lines and spaces of the music staff, and
we read rhythms (the patterns that sounds make against a steady beat) by the type and placement of the notes from left to right on the music staff (quarter notes, eighth notes, whole notes, etc. and which beat they are to be played on).
You can practice matching the correct note to each key by visiting this website and playing the note flashcard game. There is a little speaker icon at the bottom where you can cut the music off if it is distracting.
